Aimed at Specific Content
Betterchem's search spiders are guided to content beyond the best commercial and government web servers. The first objective was to give our users more focused content than would be possible using a major search engine like Google or Yahoo!
This was a fairly simple task as Betterchem was already one of the leading publishers of pharma-based content. We invited the public to access one of the largest sources of health and pharma information.
Next, we aimed a powerful new web spider at the major government servers and the leading health and medical file systems on the web. We didn't blindly aim our indexer at everything. Our editors carefully selected content that belonged together. Safety information with safety information. Manufacturing with manufacturing. Not manufacturing with junk from ebay.
Some of the content was difficult to reach. Some of it was published in unmanageable text files that users simply could not use. Again, as a leading search provider for companies like Aventis, MedPointe, Schwarz, and Wyeth, we were able to take our existing, proprietary programs and make things better. This gave our online visitors the best possible search experience. Proprietary content supplied by our editorial staff; critical industry information residing here at Betterchem and the public domain; and focused, concise searches.
